Walnut Creek Welcomes 2 New Police Officers

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The Walnut Creek Police Department welcomed two new members to the force this week.

Officer Jake Harbison and Officer Cameron Oakes were both formally sworn in Monday by Chief Jamie Knox, WCPD announced in a social media post.

Harbison is a graduate of De La Salle High School and attended Diablo Valley College. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in Modern Languages and Asian and Pacific Studies from Loyola Marymount University.

Oakes attended Little Lever High School in Bolton, England, and Bury College in Bury, England. He attained his bachelor of science degree with honors in Criminology/Forensic Science from Manchester Metropolitan University in Manchester, England. Before coming to the United States, Cameron was a police officer for the Cumbria Constabulary in Barrows-in-Furness and a special constable for the Greater Manchester Police.
