Warm, Dry Weather To Arrive In Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A warm, dry weather pattern was forecast to arrive Tuesday afternoon in Walnut Creek and the Bay Area following a light rain overnight and into Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The highest rainfall totals were expected in the North Bay, where up to half an inch was forecast in for some areas.

As the rain tapered off, a high-pressure system was expected to move across the West Coast from the Pacific Ocean, ushering in seasonably warm temperatures for the next week and a half.

Starting later this week and early next week, temperatures are forecast to top out from the high to mid-60s to the mid-70s across much of the Bay Area.

As temperatures warm up, wind speeds will also increase, with north/northeast gusts peaking from between 40 mph to 50 mph at higher elevations overnight Wednesday and into Thursday morning, according to the Weather Service.
