Hide Your Dogs — Watsonville Has Animal Limits
Enforcement might be scarce, but there are laws as to how many dogs live in each household in Watsonville.

Turns out there's a municipal code for everything, including the number of dogs and overall pets allowed per household in Watsonville.
The limit is currently set at three dogs per household with six total pets allowed. Furthermore, no more than one unspayed female may be owned per house.Â
Watsonville is most explicit in its rules regarding bird ownership. For example, the code says that poultry should never be allowed to run at large, coops must always be clean and sanitary and never closer than 25 feet from another house or business.
