Jalisco Brawlers Identified by Watsonville Police

Watsonville police have identified the men involved in the fight at Jalisco's Restaurant on March 23.

The case has been forwarded to the Santa Cruz County District Attorney's Office, which will review felony battery and assault with a deadly weapon charges against Frank Ibarra, 40, and misdemeanor battery charges against 27-year-old Benjamin Chavez.

Police said that Chavez attacked Ibarra from behind when he was ordering drinks at the bar. Ibarra fought back and Chavez was thrown out of the bar. 

Ibarra then found Chavez outside and when police arrived, they found Chavez on the ground and he was flown to a Bay Area hospital for treatment to his injuries. 

This is not the first violent crime in that location. .
