"The 40 year old was able to defend himself and fight back," Gonzalez said. "The fight was quickly broken up and the aggressor, the 27 year old, was kicked out of the bar and the police were called by a Jalisco's employee."
The motive for the first fight was being investigated.
Outside Jalisco's on Main Street, the two men found each other and another fight ensued, at 600 Main St., Gonzalez said.
"When police arrived they found the 27 year old laying on the ground with unknown injuries, but he was non-responsive to officer's questions," Gonzalez said. "He was flown out to a bay area hospital for further evaluation."
The 27-year-old was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening and he was released, Gonzalez said. The 40-year-old remained near the second fight scene on Main Street. He was contacted by law enforcement, provided a statement, and he was released.
"Detectives are investigating the two separate fights to determine who was at fault," Gonzalez said. At the conclusion of the investigation, police may seek a warrant charging one or both of the men with criminal charges.
