The case, involving a teacher who worked with Hollywood families’ children, underscores how legal authorities pursued him internationally after he fled during his trial.
   

• West Hollywood Investigates Reported ICE Detention on North Gardner Street (thepridela.com) — West Hollywood officials are probing reports of a possible immigration-related detention on North Gardner Street, where witnesses saw men in SUVs detain a driver before deputies arrived. LASD says it doesn’t enforce civil immigration laws, while the city condemns actions that spread fear and urges immigrant residents to review “Know Your Rights” resources and contact Human Services if they need help.
