West Hollywood Hosts 360 Health and Empowerment Fair for LBTQ Women
This year's fair will focus on self-care and resistance.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA -- West Hollywood will host the 360 Health and Empowerment Fair for FBTQ Women this Saturday. The fair is aimed at elevating the health and well-being of LBTQ women through workshops, panel discussions and guest speakers.
This year’s fair will focus on self-care and resistance. The fair takes place from 9 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Village at Ed Gould Plaza, located at 1125 N. McCadden Place. There will be workshops by and for LBTQ women on such topics as digital privacy in the Trump era, online activism and staying healthy while aging.
“The 360 Health and Empowerment Fair is the Center’s largest full-day event geared exclusively towards the well-being of LBTQ women,” West Hollywood Mayor Lauren Meister said. “As efforts are being made to restrict women’s access to healthcare and to take away the right to choose, it’s more important than ever that we, as women, know our rights and speak up for health care that supports our health and well-being.”

“We need to ensure that lesbian and transgender women have access to high-quality, affordable health care,” Mayor Pro Tempore John Heilman said. “This program addresses a critical need and it will give participants the tools they need to obtain culturally competent medical care.”
360’s keynote address will be presented by Amita Swadhin, a Los Angeles-based educator, storyteller, activist, and consultant who testified against Attorney General Jeff Sessions in Congress in January 2017. Swadhin’s keynote speech will focus on an intersectional and sustainable approach to resistance during the next four years.
