• Man Gets 7 Years for Deadly Crash in Westminster (mynewsla.com) — A driver from Westminster has been sentenced to seven years in prison for a DUI crash at Beach Boulevard and McFadden Avenue that killed a motorcyclist. The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to multiple felony counts, including vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run, and received credit for more than 500 days already served.
   

• Over $20K worth of drugs seized at a north Orange County traffic stop (newsantaana.com) — Residents should know that Orange County Sheriff’s North Patrol, which also covers unincorporated pockets in and around Westminster, recently seized over $20,000 worth of methamphetamine and crack cocaine during a traffic stop. Deputies arrested the driver on multiple felony drug charges, and officials outlined the serious prison time and fines such offenses can carry.
