• What's new: 150 farmhouse-style apartments coming to Wildomar (pressenterprise.com) — A 150-unit farmhouse-style apartment community called Dalton at Wildomar Crossroads is now under construction in Wildomar, next to a planned shopping center with Sprouts and Dutch Bros. The project will feature studios to two-bedroom units plus resort-style amenities, and is expected to open by late 2026. • Man accused of killing deputy near Lake Elsinore is faking disability in competency trial, prosecutor says (pressenterprise.com) — A high-profile murder case with strong ties to Wildomar is unfolding as jurors decide whether Jesse Navarro is mentally competent to stand trial in the 2023 killing of Deputy Darnell Calhoun, who died at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar. Court records also describe earlier domestic violence allegations at the Navarros’ former Wildomar home, adding local context to a case that could result in the death penalty.
