Hosted by the Woodland Public Library’s Teen Advisory Board and Yolo County Office of Education, the event seeks interactive sessions, with interest forms due by January 2.
   

• Court Watch: Judge Keeps Accused in Custody Despite Medical Concerns in Long-Running Felony Assault Case (davisvanguard.org) — A Yolo County judge in Woodland has decided to keep a felony assault defendant in custody, citing flight risk despite defense claims of serious medical issues and local mental health ties. Bail was set at $20,000, and the long-running case returns to court Dec. 16 for a prehearing conference on next steps.
   

• Basketball Recap: Oroville Comes Up Short (maxpreps.com) — Woodland Christian’s Cardinals edged Oroville 62-55 on Saturday, giving the Woodland-based school its second straight win and a 4-3 record. Oroville’s Kevin Taylor poured in 29 points in defeat, while Woodland Christian now looks ahead to a tournament matchup against Mountain View later this week.
