DUI Suspect Leads LAPD on Chase Across LA
Los Angeles police arrested a DUI suspect after a 45-minute chase through the Valley and the Westside.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A man suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs led police on a 45-minute chase that ended in the San Fernando Valley where it began, but not before the motorist wound his way through the Westside and Topanga.
The chase began about 7:55 p.m. in the area of the San Diego (405) Freeway and Roscoe Boulevard in Van Nuys, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im.
The Hyundai Veloster with paper plates made its way south on the freeway, then on city streets in West Los Angeles and Santa Monica before the driver headed north on Pacific Coast Highway toward Malibu, at times blowing through red lights and crossing into the wrong side of the street.
