El Camino Real, Taft Both Take a Win

The Conquistadors prevail over Chatsworth 50-14; Taft beats Cleveland 26-6.

Both Taft and El Camino Real Charter high schools' football teams had good nights Friday, with each team beating its opponant by a large margin.

El Camino took on Chatsworth High at home and beat the Chancellors 50-14. Going into the game, the teams shared 2-5-0 records, according to MaxPreps.com. The Conquistadors next face Lake Balboa's Birmingham High. The game will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 19 at Birmingham.

Taft's record was also tied with its opponant going into Friday night's game. The Toreadors and the Cavaliers shared 3-4-0 records, MaxpPreps reported. Taft beat Cleveland 26-6. Taft takes on Grenada Hills at home next. The game will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 19.
