I witnessed an act of kindness yesterday.
Two soccer moms and their four kids, between 5 and 12 years old, were waiting next to their parked cars for one of the older kids to get change for the meter at a nearby store.
As they stood waiting next to the minivan, curbside doors open, a meter maid walked over and wrote one of the moms a $63 ticket for an expired meter.
They told her they were waiting for a child to bring back change for the meter. The maid said the meter was red and she was parked there.
When I said I saw an act of kindness, I was referring to the soccer mom not giving the low-life meter maid a piece of her mind or worse.
Well Badge 4099, on Beat 111 in Woodland Hills, you either need some training in human decency or a one-way ticket out of Woodland Hills or even better, Los Angeles. It is because of bad atoms like you that the people of this city feel abused by government, and rightfully so.
