Stolen Puppy Returned After Taken From Woodland Hills Adoption Event
The Yorkshire terrier was returned safely Sunday.
A Yorkshire terrier puppy that was stolen from a Woodland Hills pet adoption event over the weekend has been returned safely.
Surveillance footage from the event at Woodland Hills Ice shows a woman taking the four-month-old dog without having gone through proper adoption procedures at about 5 p.m. on Saturday, according to a report by KTLA5.
ABC7, also reporting the story on Saturday, said that two men accompanying the woman kept a lookout while the woman walked away with the puppy. The organizer of the event told the network the group had been at the adoption event earlier in the day as well.

On Monday, ABC7 reported the woman came back to the ice rink Sunday and handed the dog over to one of the rink employees.
The Yorkie's story has a happier ending than just being returned. The ice skating rink employee to whom the dog was returned is planning on adopting him, reports CBS2, which also said the employee has already named the pup: Chewbaca.
