Upscale Restaurant Comes to Woodland Hills Mall

Look for caviar, tuna tartar, lobster dishes and fine wines on the Ritual Café menu.

If you're the type to become absolutely famished after an afternoon shopping at the mall, you might have had to settle for a slice of pizza, a hot dog on a stick or gooey cinnamon bun to tide you over. But shoppers at Westfield Topanga mall now have a more upscale dining option.

Nestled among stores like Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany, Ritual Café and Wine Bar, which had its grand opening Saturday, serves Russian Royal black caviar, tuna tartar and a lobster club along with a selection of fine wines.

A variety of comfort food items are also available at the cafe. On Chef Ian Anderson's menu are also a grilled cheese sandwich and soup combination, a New York style pastrami sandwich and turkey chili, and the cafe serves LAMill brewed coffee.

Partner Alexander Kish, who owns the restaurant along with Tatyana Kanavka and Alex Fishkin, described Ritual as a unique, hidden gem, "rich with flavor and worldly flair."

"We pay attention to every detail, from the freshest food to the finest wines to the imported art that adorns the beautifully tiled interior of the standalone sit down café,” he said.
