Weekly Crime Report: 33 Crimes in Woodland Hills Area

Authorities within a two-mile radius of Topanga Canyon and Ventura boulevards logged 33 significant crimes March 18-25. Check below for a break-down of what happened.

Last week, from Monday, March 18 through Sunday, March. 25, there were 33 crimes committed within a two mile radius of the center of Woodland Hills, according to police reports on crimemapping.com.

The two mile radius used in the report starts from the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Canoga Avenue.  

The number of crimes holds steady from the previous week; however, notably missing this week are reported violent crimes such as attempted or actual assault, battery or rape.

The crime statistics from the week break down like this:

  •  12 cases of petty theft (theft—including shoplifting—of a value of less than $950)
  •  cases of grand theft (theft of a value of $950.01 or more)
  •  4 burglaries (entry of a structure with the intent to commit theft or a felony)
  •  16 thefts from a vehicle
  •  1 stolen vehicle
