The long holiday weekend is over and some drivers will have to fuel up before their weekday commutes begin again. With that in mind, we checked online for the cheapest gas in the area.
Find the lowest price for regular, self-serve gas for $3.87 per gallon at the Thrifty station at 6000 N. Canoga Ave. at Oxnard Street and the Arco stations at 22004 Clarendon St. at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and 6310 Fallbrook Ave. at Sylvan Street, according to gasbuddy.com.
A 13-day streak of decreases ended today when the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent to $4.037.
The average price dropped 10.5 cents during the streak, including three-tenths of a cent on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 3.2 cents less than one week ago, but 5.2 cents more than one month ago and 32.2 cents higher than one year ago.
