Woodland Hills' Fire Stations Recieves New Equipment
Almost $200,000 of the council district's discretionary funds were used.

Councilman Dennis Zine was praised Thursday by Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Brian L. Cummings and the president of the union representing the department's firefighters for using nearly $200,000 in discretionary funds to purchase equipment for fire stations in Woodland Hills as well as the other stations in the department's Battalion 17.
Cummings visited Woodland Hills' Station 84 Thursday and thanked Zine for this use of city funds.
Frank Lima, president of United Firefighters Local 112, said "this additional funding from Council District 3 comes at a great time when our fire department has seen unprecedented budget cuts.''
