Woodland Hills Week in Review: Rape Case Reported, Bail Set in Murder Case

A rape was reported in Woodland Hills. Because a minor was involved, police officials did not have many details to share; however, they did say it's not the kind of case where residents need to worry about a rapist on the loose.

Bail was set at $2 million for the 24-year old woman accused of shooting her mother last month.

Six people were arrested in an alleged San Fernando Valley-based fraud ring wherein, according to a 132-count indictment, members of the scheme obtained nearly 2,000 stolden identities.

Crime was back up in Woodland Hills last week with 41 significant crimes reported in a two-mile radius of Topanga Canyon and Ventura boulevards.

And some good news: The Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley named Tom Tran as its Youth of the Year.
