DA Office Awarded Grant for Specialized DUI Prosecution Team (westsacramentonewsledger.com) β€” Yolo County’s District Attorney has secured a $234,000 state grant to keep a specialized DUI prosecution team focused on serious alcohol- and drug-impaired driving cases through 2026. The team not only prosecutes complex DUIs but also trains officers statewide and brings DUI education, including live trial demonstrations, to local high schools, colleges, and community programs across Yolo County.

County education dept. earns 2025 Golden Bell Award (davisenterprise.com) β€” Yolo County’s Office of Education just earned a prestigious 2025 Golden Bell Award for leading the countywide β€œRoadmap to the Future” effort to improve outcomes for local children and families. The initiative, backed by county, cities, school districts and UC Berkeley, is reshaping how Yolo County coordinates education, health, and economic support from early childhood through adulthood.

One person dead after an incident at the Yolo County Central Landfill (dailydemocrat.com) β€” A worker was killed Wednesday morning in an industrial accident involving two Northern Recycling dump trucks at the Yolo County Central Landfill compost facility near Davis.
