New Outlet Mall To Present Music, Fireworks, Dog Show - Even though the Denver Premium Outlets are officially located in Thornton, Arvada readers wanted to know everything about the new mall, from its announcement to stores added to the pre-opening job fair.

First Transgender State Rep-Elect has Slim Lead In Arvada The Nov. 8 2018 election brought many new faces to Colorado politics, including Democrat firefighter and geologist Brianna Titone, a first-time candidate who won a nail-biter race in the State Rep. District 27 race against GOP APEX board member Vicki Pyne.

'Meth-Binge' Driver Gets 36 Years For Death of Arvada Pedestrian A driver who fell asleep at the wheel post-meth-binge and lost control of his car, killed Arvada pedestrian Nathan Osburn, 42, a father of four children and member of Arvada's Shrine of Saint Anne Community. Community members stepped up and donated more than $30,000 to the family through GoFundMe.

G-Line Rail Testing To Arvada Begins Arvada readers were thrilled to read that empty trains would be testing the G-Line in 2018. A year later, after multiple delays, local Arvada T-shirt printers created T-shirts celebrating the "Ghost Train" line to nowhere.

Body Of Missing Arvada Man, 87, Found In Golden Five months after 87-year-old James Mitchell disappeared with his truck, his body was found in a Golden ravine by public works staffers. Mitchell, who suffered from dementia, disappeared from his home in December, 2017 causing a massive manhunt. His body was found miles away from his abandoned truck. Investigators believe he may have died of hypothermia in a culvert and was swept further downstream later in the year.
