Arvada Gets New Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Station
Six new electric vehicle chargers were installed at the Lloyd King Center.

ARVADA, CO — Arvada has become the latest Colorado city to install a new EVgo fast charging station.
The new station, at 6350 Sheridan Boulevard outside Lloyd King Center, includes six fast chargers — four of which are able to charge up to 180 miles in 15 minutes, and two are able to charge up to 90 miles in 15 minutes, EVgo said. The mileage depends on vehicle capability.
There are now 86 EVgo chargers in Colorado — all part of the company's 100 percent renewable-powered network, which aims to help Colorado reach its zero-emission vehicle targets and reduce pollution.

The company teamed up with General Motors, the Colorado Energy Office and Regency Centers (owner of the Lloyd King Center) to install the new station.
"The city of Arvada is thrilled to be a part of this collaboration between such great organizations," Arvada Mayor Marc Williams said.

"These new EV fast chargers will help further advance Colorado’s electrification and climate goals and expand valuable access to public charging for residents and travelers alike.”
The new chargers were unveiled Tuesday as part of a ribbon cutting ceremony, hosted by Dianne Primavera, lieutenant governor of Colorado, the mayor, and company and government representatives.
Officials established in 2013 the Charge Ahead Colorado program, which aims to add electric vehicle charging stations across the state.
