Colo. Book and Arts Festival Comes To Arvada
Award-winning authors, readings, a pop-up bookshop, children's activities and music will invade Arvada March 16.

ARVADA, CO – "More books for me!" is the push-back from Marie Kendo's book-pitching philosophy of the new Netflix series "Tidying Up." Kendo suggests winnowing your entire book collection down to 30 volumes, which has led to huge mounds of donations to libraries and thrift stores.
But if you disagree, and instead want more books, more authors, more music, arts and literature, come to The Arvada Center March 16, 2019.
The Arvada Center along with Denver's Tattered Cover Bookstore and Regis University are partnering to present the Colorado Book and Arts Festival, a one-day literary arts festival celebrating books, art, and music for the whole family.

This festival is the kickoff event for the NEA's Big Read program which will feature a series of events through mid-April.
An initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, the NEA Big Read "broadens our understanding of the world, our communities and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book," according to a press release. The Arvada Center is the only recipient of this grant in Colorado.
