Man Arrested In Connection With Westminster AMBER Alert Case

WESTMINSTER — A 30-year-old man was arrested in connection with an AMBER Alert case, Westminster police said.

Michael Patrick Buckley faces sexual assault - pattern of abuse charges after an 11-year-old girl went missing Tuesday, police said. She was found safe Wednesday afternoon in unincorporated Jefferson County, according to officials.

Buckley was being held at the Jefferson County jail.

Police did not release details of the case to protect its integrity while an investigation was underway.

In a statement released by police, the girl's family thanked the community, first responders and investigators who worked on the case.
