ARVADA, CO — McIntyre Street will be closed in Arvada just north of West 55th Avenue to south of West 58th Avenue until 5:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22. Both lanes of traffic will be closed except for emergency responders, the City of Arvada said.

"Crews will perform final grading, construct the top layer of asphalt on much of the corridor and move traffic into the final alignment," the city said in an alert to residents. "Access to adjacent parcels will be maintained and a signed detour route will be provided."

A detour map is offered on the city's website.

Improvements to McIntyre Street between West 56th Place and West 58th Avenue began last summer and will continue through the fall of 2019, officials said.

Drivers should expect intermittent traffic stops and alternating lane closures for equipment access and construction adjacent to the roadway. Lane closures will be limited to off-peak hours (8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). Occasional night and weekend work is expected.

A speed limit reduction to 25 mph will be enforced, the city said. Fines are double within the work zone. The project is weather-dependent and the schedule is subject to change.

Anyone with questions is asked to call the project hotline at 720-550-9695 or email McIntyre@workzone.info.
