Trick Or Treat, Mother Nature: 2021 Halloween Forecast For Arvada

ARVADA, CO — Before the town’s cutest witches and goblins take to Arvada streets in search of Halloween’s sweetest bounty, it’s a good idea for parents to check out what Mother Nature has in store for our community’s annual trick-or-treating festivities.

Trick-or-treating in Arvada is planned for the evening of Sunday, Oct. 31. Considering the event is just days away, there's a good chance we might luck out when it comes to the weather.

As you head out on Sunday evening, expect clouds and chilly temperatures. AccuWeather predicts that temperatures will dip to 35 degrees in the evening, down from an afternoon high of 50 degrees.

However, you likely won't need to pack umbrellas and rain jackets — the chance of precipitation is currently only 25 percent.

Though Halloween is expected to be chilly, the days leading up to the holiday will be significantly warmer. Temperatures on Thursday will be in the low 60s, and they will rise to the mid 60s on Friday and Saturday before cooling down in time for trick-or-treating.

Upcoming events taking place on or near Halloween in Arvada:

Arvada West's Annual Trick-or-Treat Street, Thursday, 5-7 p.m., Arvada West High School

Trick-or-Treat Street is a costumed event where children from the surrounding community can collect candy through our mystical themed school. Volunteers for the event will be dressed up and entertaining children in a safe trick-or-treating environment. Children can play games, participate in a costume contest, and be lead on a magical journey full of face painting, slime, and balloons. Entrance for the event is a donated canned food/non-perishable item per trick-or-treater. All donations will be donated to the Arvada Food Bank.

Olde Town Arvada's Trick-or-Treat Street, Friday, 5-7 p.m. 7307 Grandview Avenue

Bring your little monsters, goblins and ghouls to Olde Town Arvada for free Trick or Treating at participating businesses. Candy will be given out from 5-7 p.m., or while supplies last. Stop by Olde Town Square to participate in our costume contest and win great prizes. Make sure to visit the Flour Mill (5590 Olde Wadsworth Blvd.) for candy, games and more! If you are driving in Olde Town, please remember to be aware of increased pedestrian traffic. We are expecting a large number of families and children in the area. Additional parking is always available in the Olde Town Parking Hub.
