Winterfest Comes To Olde Town Arvada

The city's celebration of cold weather and cultural diversity will take place this weekend.

ARVADA, CO – Winterfest, the city's new "culturally driven family festival" takes place in Olde Town this weekend.

The festival takes place Saturday, Feb. 23 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at historic McIlvoy Park, 5750 Upham Street. The festival features "games, performances, music, vendors, food and drinks," according to the city's Arvada Festivals website.

Festival goers can "earn, sample and experience many diverse cultures," at various craft vendors and informational booths throughout the festival. The festival will also feature food and drinks (in a designated beer tent).

Here's the schedule for special performances:

  • 11 to 11:45 a.m. - Two Tunes Polka Band
  • 12 to 12:45 p.m.- Colorado Asian Cultural Heritage: Dragon, Lion, Chinese Drums
  • 1 to 2 p.m. - The Storytellers
  • 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. - Pokeman Player Tournament
  • 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. - Boulder Taiko Drums and audience participation
