Aurora teenager arrested in fatal shooting (denverpost.com) — Aurora police have arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the November 19 shooting death of 22-year-old Jibreel Nile near East 17th Avenue and Beeler Street in northwest Aurora. The teen is held without bond on first-degree murder and handgun charges while detectives continue investigating. Residents with information can anonymously contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers and may qualify for a cash reward. 
2. Aurora moves forward with East Colfax revitalization district amid transparency worries (sentinelcolorado.com) — Aurora is moving ahead with a new East Colfax Downtown Development Authority, setting timelines to appoint its first board and finalize a long-term reinvestment plan for the corridor. Residents raised sharp concerns about transparency, gentrification, and campaign donations, while city staff outlined a public, multilingual application and interview process for board seats and emphasized renter and resident representation alongside property and business owners.
3.
