City In Colorado Has Some Of The Most Airbnb Properties In U.S.

BOULDER, CO — Airbnb's popularity has grown rapidly since the company started in 2008, but many Colorado cities have cracked down on local rentals with new laws and restrictions. Airbnb rentals have thrived in Boulder, however — the city has the 28th highest number of listings in the country and the most listings per capita in Colorado, according to the IPX1031 Insight Blog.

Using data from AirDNA, researchers found the cities with the most Airbnb properties per capita. Listing data was analyzed from more than 350 cities across the country and cities were then ranked by the number of Airbnb listings per 50,000 people.

Boulder has 573 Airbnb listings per 50,000 people, according to the report.

Miami Beach, Florida, had the most listings per capita in the country, according to the report. Kissimmee and Sarasota — both in Florida, were ranked No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
