Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Colorado Springs is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Simeon Gibbs, who are making a positive impact in and around Colorado Springs.
Simeon Gibbs stands out as a remarkable young leader in El Paso County due to his resilience, adaptability and academic drive. Growing up in a military family, he experienced the challenges of frequently changing schools and households during his mother’s deployments, which taught him to be self-reliant and flexible in diverse environments. Despite these challenges, Gibbs remained focused on his education and future, earning a full-ride scholarship from the Daniels Fund.
Gibbs' dedication to making a positive impact on the world is evident in his chosen field of study: biomedical or biological engineering. He plans to attend the University of Colorado Boulder or Georgia Tech, where he will leverage his education to contribute to groundbreaking biological innovations that will improve people’s lives. His ability to overcome adversity, coupled with his commitment to advancing in a highly technical field, demonstrates his potential as a future leader who will inspire and influence others in Colorado Springs and beyond.
