Colorado Coronavirus Update: 1,133 New Cases Reported

Here are the latest coronavirus numbers in Colorado.

Daily coronavirus case numbers in Colorado have remained steady over the past month, but there has been an uptick over the past few days, public health data shows.

Between Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon, 1,133 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Colorado.

As of Sunday, 468,121 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the state among more than 2,751,600 people who have been tested since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed. Around 25,766 people have been hospitalized.

Colorado's COVID-19 death toll:

  • Deaths among cases: 6,126
  • Deaths due to COVID-19: 6,253

Around 28 percent of the state's critical care ventilators were in use as of Sunday, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Around 8 percent of Colorado hospitals reported anticipating staff shortages over the next week, and 2 percent of facilities reported anticipating ICU bed shortages.

All Colorado residents ages 16 and older became eligible Friday to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
