Denver Broncos' Carlos Henderson Arrested On Pot Charge

Officers reportedly found "thick green residue" in Carlos Henderson's mouth

DENVER, CO -- Broncos' wide receiver Carlos Henderson was reportedly arrested in Louisiana for marijuana possession. KNOE reported Henderson was arrested in West Monroe.

The news station reported Henderson was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for speeding.

"Detectives with WMPD allegedly smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, driven by Alejandra Aviles-Jimenez," KNOE reported. "Officers allegedly recovered pieces of marijuana near the passenger seat, as well as a partially-filled water bottle with an extinguished marijuana cigar inside."

The news station reported officers also found "thick green residue" in Henderson's mouth.

"In the documents, Henderson denied eating any marijuana before the traffic stop but did admit to smoking earlier Sunday," KNOE reported. "Henderson was placed under arrest for first offense possession of marijuana and bonded out of jail less than an hour later."

In a statement, the team said "We are aware of the issue involving Carlos Henderson and are gathering more information."
