MLB All-Star Game In Denver: Events, Schedule, Closures

Here are some important things to know ahead of the 2021 Midsummer's Classic in Denver.

DENVER, CO — Denverites are welcoming fans from far and wide for the 2021 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which is set to be played Tuesday at Coors Field.

Bars, restaurants and venues in the city are hosting All-Star Game Week events, and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock said he's "beyond excited" for the economic boost that the game is bringing.

"The summertime energy is back in Denver after a long, tough year and a half. Our residents and our businesses recognize that this is a phenomenal way to celebrate this special moment in our lives," Hancock said during a news conference Wednesday.

Reed Saunders, public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies, also welcomed fans during the news conference.

"I'm a Colorado native — I was here ... fortunate enough, to be in the stands for the All-Star Game in 1998 as a younger, thinner version of myself, and to be here in 2021 as a part of this year's All-Star Game as a member of the team is quite a thrill for me," Saunders said.
