MSU Denver May Furlough Staff To Manage $14 Million Budget Shortfall
The university said mandatory furloughs will be initiated for faculty and staff who earn more than $50,000 a year.

DENVER (CBS4)– Staff at Metropolitan State University of Denver may be furloughed to help manage a $14 million budget shortfall. Metro State is set to start classes on Aug. 17, 90% of classes will be remote.

The university said mandatory furloughs will be initiated for faculty and staff who earn more than $50,000 a year. MSU also eliminated 10 positions last month.
Those impacted did receive severance packages.
