• Poor offensive first half dooms Skyhawks women's basketball (durangoherald.com) — Fort Lewis College women’s basketball stumbled badly at home in Durango, falling 78–50 to Adams State after a four-point first quarter they never overcame. Despite a strong second-half push led by freshman Alemaualii Fonoti, poor shooting and turnovers doomed the Skyhawks, who now head on the road looking to rebound before the holiday break. 
• Durango lawyer dies while backcountry skiing on Red Mountain Pass (durangoherald.com) — Durango is mourning longtime attorney and community leader Michael Goldman, who died Sunday while backcountry skiing near Red Mountain Pass. Rescuers were unable to revive the 63-year-old, a former La Plata County attorney and legal counsel to several local governments and nonprofits. Friends and colleagues describe him as a pillar of Durango’s civic and legal community.
