The new Greeley-based school aims to ease the state’s physician shortage, train students in a fast-growing metro area, and inject hundreds of millions of dollars into Weld County’s economy over the coming years.
   

• 2 killed in late-night crash near Greeley (kktv.com) — Two young adults from Kansas were killed and two juveniles injured in a late-night single-vehicle crash Tuesday on Weld County Road 33 near Greeley. State troopers say the SUV ran a stop sign at Highway 392, went off the road, and hit a fence, embankment, and tree; investigators are asking any witnesses to contact Colorado State Patrol.
   

• ‘We feel safer at church.' Latino community works together to provide health care access amid fear, high costs (cpr.org) — Hundreds of Latino residents gathered at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley for a large free health fair offering vaccines, screenings, and basic care in a setting they trust. Organizers say fears about immigration enforcement and high medical costs keep many immigrants from clinics, so they’re bringing services directly to churches and community hubs to protect families’ health.
