Arapahoe HS Teacher Accused Of Sex Assault On Student

CENTENNIAL, CO – A 24-year-old Arapahoe High School teacher and coach was arrested Friday and is being held on suspicion of sexually molesting a 16-year-old student.

Sarah Elise Porter, who teaches Spanish and coaches track at the school, is being held in Arapahoe County Jail facing charges of sexual assault of a child by someone in a position of trust and sexual exploitation of a child for pornographic purposes. Porter is being held without bond.

According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, the student submitted a tip to the Safe2Tell app. The male student reported that Porter had forced a kiss on him in a classroom when the lights were off and also had sent him nude photos of herself and videos of herself masturbating, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Denver Post.

She later "allegedly forced herself upon the student, threatening him if he resisted," the Post reported. When confronted by her head-coach supervisor, Porter said she had sent photos of herself in a tank top and that she and the student did not have sex, but “they did everything leading to it,” the affidavit said.

Porter's name was not listed on the Littleton Public Schools website in AHS's World Languages department.
