Car Smashes Into Littleton Street Sign, Drives Away [WATCH]

Littleton police are seeking the driver of a green car that lost control on and almost hit the corner house. See video here.

LITTLETON, CO – Littleton police released a home surveillance video of a hit-and-run accident that took place Wednesday morning.

Police described the car as an "older model green sedan with black hubcaps and no front license plate."

The accident occurred at the corner of West Powers Avenue and South Prescott Street, police said. The video shows how moments after a school bus passes eastbound on West Powers, the sedan, driving westbound, tries to take the corner too fast onto South Prescott.

Watch the video with the sound on and you'll hear the clanging and scraping of metal as the sedan knocks over a street sign and runs up onto the corner home's lawn, almost hitting the brick house.

The car then slowly turns around and heads eastbound on West Powers.
