Castle Rock To Host Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

The Castle Rock Police Department is participating in a nationwide effort to dispose of prescription drugs.

CASTLE ROCK, CO — Rates of prescription drug abuse in the U.S. are alarmingly high, as are the number of accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs. The Castle Rock Police Department is once again partnering this weekend with the the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration on the DEA's Prescription Drug Take Back event.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27. Drop-off sites will be at:

  • Castle Rock Police Department, 100 Perry St.
  • King Soopers Promenade, 5544 Promenade Parkway

Solid dosage pharmaceutical products and liquids in consumer containers may be accepted. For more information on the National Take-Back Initiative and drug disposal, please visit the DEA website.
