Cherry Hill Cop Shot In Home Invasion, Expected To Make Recovery
Four people are still at large in connection with a home invasion in Cherry Hills Village where Officer Cory Sack was shot.

CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE, CO – An officer shot while responding to a home invasion in Cherry Hills Village is being treated in a hospital and expected to make a recovery, police said. Officers are searching for four people they say were involved with the home invasion, burglary and gunfire exchange that took place Monday night.
Around 11 p.m., officers responded to a hang-up 911 call at an address in the first block of Sedgwick Drive. Officer Cory Sack, a seven-year veteran of the Cherry Hills Village police, encountered two men in the home, who were armed. They exchanged gunfire, and Sack was struck in the leg and heel, police said. He was taken to Swedish Memorial Center where he had surgery early Tuesday morning and is expected to recover.
The family living in the house was able to escape, but two men, described as black males wearing black clothing, fled and were not found. Police believe there are a total of four people involved in the incident.
