Christmas Tree Recycling DropOffs Offered In Littleton

You can "upcycle" your Christmas tree into garden mulch at two Littleton locations after Christmas.

LITTLETON, CO – After Santa pops in to see your real Christmas tree for the holidays, give it another life by "up-cycling" your real tree into useful mulch at two Littleton sites.

Starting Dec. 26 through Jan. 14, the City of Littleton and Suburban Parks and Recreation will offer free Christmas tree recycling at two locations. You can bring your tree (stripped of all ornaments, tinsel, garlands, lights and stands) to the following two locations:

South Suburban’s Willow Spring Service Center, 7100 South Holly Street in Centennial and Cornerstone Park, 5150 South Windermere Street (corner of West Belleview Avenue and South Windermere Street).

Most trash and waste removal companies do not accept Christmas trees, so residents are encouraged to take advantage of this free program, the city said in a press release.

The trees will be mulched and live again spread over landscaping throughout Littleton and the park district.
