D1 Training Returns To Littleton

After a previous location closed, a new franchise is set to open in March.

LITTLETON, CO — A new D1 Training franchise is set to open in Littleton on March 21. D1 Training — started in 2001 by ex-NFL athlete Will Bartholomew — has more than 60 open locations across the country, with more than 100 in development.

D1 Training is distinguished by its focus on sports science and athletic training, making use of a proprietary five-star training program consisting of a dynamic warm-up, performance training, strength training, core and conditioning work and a cool down.

This latest Littleton location is being brought to life by locals Heath Robberson and Amy Abraham, according to a news release. The couple plan on opening three locations over the next three years, beginning with the Littleton location.

"When we decided to go out and start a business, we were looking for something that allowed us to contribute to our community and also work in an area of shared personal passion," Robberson and Abraham said. "Our core values align with D1 Training’s, and we loved that the brand is consistent, science-based, and the training is designed and delivered by expert coaches."

Littleton's D1 Training was originally set to host a grand opening event on April 8, but that date has since changed and is not yet known.

"Amy and Heath are the ideal candidates to bring the D1 Training experience to Littleton," said Dan Murphy, the chief operating officer for D1 Training. "We’re thrilled to welcome them to the D1 family and are confident in their ability to show the Littleton area what they’ve been missing out on."

The facility will offer a series of age-based programs: Rookie (ages 7-11), Developmental (ages 12-14), Prep (ages 15-18) and D1 Adult, all with the goal of helping athletes perfect their craft.

"We both have kids that would benefit from a concept as incredible as D1 Training," Robberson and Abraham said. "We are excited to help athletes of all ages in Littleton grow on and off the field."
