Douglas County Coronavirus Outbreaks In Stores: March 10

Here's a list of the latest COVID-19 outbreaks reported at stores in Douglas County.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO — Nearly 4,000 coronavirus outbreaks have been reported in Colorado since the pandemic began, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

The number of stores and restaurants reporting outbreaks in Denver's metro area has declined over the past month, according to state public health data.

Douglas County businesses have strict cleaning procedures and coronavirus safety measures in place; however, some are still dealing outbreaks due to the number of people who visit in person each week.

Some outbreaks have lasted more than three months since they were first detected.

Here are the two active outbreaks at stores in Douglas County as of Wednesday:

  • American Furniture Warehouse, 8820 American Way, Englewood: Since this outbreak was first reported Nov. 3, 94 cases of COVID-19 have been reported at the store, according to state public health data.
  • Costco Wholesale #1022, 18414 Cottonwood Dr., Parker: Since this outbreak was first reported Oct. 26, 53 cases among staff have been reported, the data shows.

If you're concerned about contracting the virus and delivery services aren't an option for you, washing your hands as frequently as possible, social distancing and wearing a mask will go a long way in protecting you, health officials said.
