• No NYE fireworks allowed under South Metro Fire restrictions (denver7.com) — If you live in Littleton or elsewhere in the South Metro Fire District, you can’t use any fireworks this New Year’s Eve — not even sparklers — because of high fire danger. Arapahoe County is under stage two restrictions and Douglas and Jefferson counties are under stage one, and officials urge residents to leave fireworks to professional shows and call 911 if they see smoke or fire.
