Douglas County Sheriff Adds Experienced Chief Deputy To Staff

According to Sheriff Tony Spurlock, Mike McIntosh will serve as one of his chief deputies.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO — A law enforcement officers with more the three decades of experience in the fields has joined the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. According to Sheriff Tony Spurlock, Mike McIntosh will serve as one of his chief deputies.

Chief Deputy McIntosh served in the United States Navy and then served the Adams County Sheriff’s Office for 31 years.

Most recently, he was a commander for the Louisville Police Department.

“I am very honored that Mike agreed to be part of our agency; we will certainly be a better place with him on board,” Sheriff Spurlock said.

McIntosh started at Adams County in the detention facility as a deputy sheriff and rose through the ranks of deputy sheriff, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, and division chief before becoming the Adams County Sheriff.

He will oversee support services, which encompasses professional standards/hiring/training, dispatch, records, information technology and special projects.
