  1. Douglas County Commissioners met Tuesday night to vote on forming the county's own health agency. This comes after last week's vote to formally leave the Tri-County Health Department. (CBS)
  2. Arapahoe County Sheriff Tyler Brown will not face criminal charges in connection to an incident last month at a restaurant, the Denver District Attorney's Office announced on Thursday. So far authorities haven't disclosed exactly what occurred — they say alcohol was involved, but that no serious injuries were reported. (CBS)
  3. A shelter-in-place was lifted Tuesday for Littleton residents in the Riverwalk neighborhood after a person was arrested. Police officers found that someone had barricaded themselves in a unit and a SWAT team was called to the area while law enforcement worked on de-escalating the situation, the city said.
  4. President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit Colorado next week to participate in a Build Back Better event, the White House said. The visit is part of a western tour that also includes stops in Idaho and California. (Patch)
  5. Colorado's state public health agency released new data Wednesday that shows the rate of breakthrough COVID-19 cases. The statistics were released as hospitalizations surge in Colorado — mostly among those who aren't vaccinated, public health officials said. (Patch)
