Flower Power: Cupid Crew Delivers Roses to Littleton Seniors
Local volunteers celebrated Valentine's Day with seniors at Highland Place, an Anthem Memory Care community.
A Rose is a rose, but for some Littleton seniors these Valentine beauties meant much more. Residents at Highline Place, an Anthem Memory Care community, received the traditional flowers from the Cupid Crew at their community at 6767 S. Broadway, Littleton
Cupid Crew volunteers with NextSteps Senior Placement hand delivered roses as part of Wish of a Lifetime from AARP for the first time in person since COVID in 2020. Groups across the country have been spreading joy for 10 years and hope to share love this year with over 100,000 roses delivered.
“Researchers have found that flowers are especially helpful to seniors’ wellbeing and can increase mood and memory,” said Jodi Cornman, senior community relations director for Highline Place, an Anthem Memory Care community. “Our residents were delighted to receive this gift of love and affection from the Cupid Crew.”
