Knots of Love: Memory Care Residents Create Blankets for Senior Animal
Willowbrook Place residents shared warmth and love when they visited Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary.
A group of memory care residents in Littleton shared warmth and love with senior dogs. The residents at Willowbrook Place, an Anthem Memory Care community located at 5275 S. Kipling Pkwy, made blankets for the canine crew as a part of their Seniors Helping Seniors program. They delivered the blankets to Pepper’s Senior Dog Sanctuary in Littleton.
“Many of our seniors have been involved in community service throughout their lives and dementia doesn’t diminish their desire to help others,” said Trinity Robinson, life engagement director for Willowbrook Place. “So many of them are dog lovers, and this is a great way to give back to the community while beginning loving relationships with the pups.”
