The donation of 50 bikes and helmets was sponsored by Johns Manville, a Denver-based manufacturer of building materials. Wish for Wheels is a local non-profit that works to provide bikes and helmets to students who might not otherwise be able to have them. All 43 second graders get to take their bike and helmet home. The remaining bikes can be used at Field’s discretion. The second graders had a great time riding their new bikes out on the playground.
LPS is so grateful for these kinds of community partnerships. Thank you to Wish for Wheels and Johns Manville!Â
