Littleton Public Schools Delays Start Date

The district's back-to-school start date will be delayed until Aug. 24.

LITTLETON, CO — The start date for Littleton Public Schools has been delayed until Aug. 24, the district's superintendent announced Thursday. Classes were previously scheduled to begin Aug. 13.

Littleton Public Schools Superintendent Brian Ewert made the announcement during an Arapahoe County virtual town hall Thursday evening.

Parents and community members will receive a comprehensive outline of students' delayed return to school on Friday, Ewert said.

"There are so many complex issues that we are dealing with ... so many moving parts, that we simply needed more time to put an effective model in place,” the superintendent said.
